On September 25, the second investment promotion roadshow of the World Maritime Equipment Conference 2024 and the Marine Economy Industry Supply-Demand Matching Conference • Chongqing were successfully held.

The event, jointly organized by the Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Fuzhou Municipal People’s Government, and the CSSC China Institute of Marine Technology & Economy, brought together nearly 100 representatives from relevant departments of Fujian Province, cities, counties (districts), industrial parks, as well as marine economy-related organizations, key enterprises, universities, and financial institutions from Chongqing and surrounding areas, all of whom gathered to jointly discuss and explore new opportunities for the development of the marine economy.

Li Jianhe, Director-General Level Officer (Grade Ⅱ) of the Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission, delivered a speech at the event.
During the event, key representatives from Fuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Gulou Marine Science and Innovation Hub, Quangang High-tech Materials Industry Park, and Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone Investment Promotion Committee made key presentations on their development foundation, industry advantages, and future key development areas. This deepened entrepreneurs’ understanding of the local business environment and innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities, achieving excellent results in attracting investment.

At the conference, several key marine industry enterprises conducted project roadshows and announced their technical needs. The innovative projects covered multiple fields, including new energy, shipbuilding, and marine equipment. Notable technological achievements showcased during the roadshows included key innovations such as the National Carbon Measurement Center (Fujian), the methanol fuel injection system for marine engines, dry anaerobic fermentation equipment, and industrial and commercial energy storage systems. Among the highlighted marine industry innovations were the development of hydrogen refueling guns (70MPa), vibration control technology for ship equipment using new acoustic materials, marine robotics technology, and domestically produced hollow fiber membrane modules. These technological product needs from key shipbuilding enterprises provided precise matching opportunities for upstream and downstream enterprises in Fujian’s industrial chain, facilitating local companies’ integration into the supply chains of national major strategic projects. Additionally, a project roundtable session was organized, where local governments and participating enterprises engaged in in-depth discussions about Fujian’s industrial policies, support measures, and investment opportunities, exploring cooperation details and seeking win-win development.
