From November 16 to 18, a special ship exhibition will be held at the Wharf of Foochow Arsenal 1866 Culture Scenic Area, featuring three remarkable vessels: the Research Vessel KEXUE, the China Marine Surveillance 8001 patrol ship, and the “Goddess of Peace” three-masted replica passenger ship. This exhibition offers the public a rare opportunity to experience ship operations and the daily life of crew members up close, fostering a deeper understanding of the maritime industry.

  The Goddess of Peace is a 52-meter-long, 11.9-meter-wide three-masted replica sailing ship with a main mast height of 32.3 meters.   The exhibition will run from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. from November 16 to 18. November 16 is reserved for student groups, while November 17 and 18 are open to the public. Visitors can make reservations through the “World Maritime Equipment Conference” WeChat mini program. The event will feature professional guides leading visitors through the ship's bow, key equipment, bridge, and other essential areas, sharing insights on each vessel's unique features and history. Visitors will also be able to view the crew’s living and working environments, gaining a deeper appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

  The Research Vessel KEXUE, with an approved gross tonnage of 4,711 tons, is 99.8 meters long, 17.8 meters wide, and has a draft of 5.88 meters.   The exhibition will apply a “QR code registration and lottery” system to select attendees. The “Boat Exhibition Reservation System” is available via the “World Maritime Equipment Conference” WeChat mini program, with registration opening at noon on November 10. Visitors can register for either morning or afternoon sessions, with each mobile number allowed to register up to four people. On November 15 at noon, the system will randomly select attendees and notify them of their time slots via SMS.

  During the boat exhibition, Fuzhou Gucuo Group will offer a scenic “Poetic Minjiang” water route, allowing citizens to view the displayed vessels from the water. Passengers can board the “Jasmine”, Fujian’s first fully electric-powered ship certified by the China Classification Society, from the Xiayang Wharf near the Straits International Conference and Exhibition Center. The cruise will pass through the Sanjiangkou shipbuilding area, providing views of the Shipbuilding Cultural Site and the beautiful Minjiang River scenery along with the showcased vessels.
