The World Maritime Equipment Conference 2024 will be held in Fuzhou from November 15 to 18. Concurrently, the 2nd China Maritime Equipment Expo will take place with the theme “Green Intelligence, New Quality Future.” The Expo will cover a total exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, with 16 exhibition zones and 746 companies expected to participate. A wide array of advanced marine equipment will be showcased in groups.
The indoor exhibition area is located at Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center, in Halls 1 to 8, covering an area of 80,000 square meters. It will feature 15 exhibition zones, including Marine Equipment Dual-use Technologies, Advanced Ships Manufacturing, Digital & Intelligent Technology Equipment, Green Power Technologies, etc. The event will bring together shipbuilders, marine equipment professionals, and suppliers from around the world, connecting global high-quality resources and showcasing the latest trends in the global marine equipment industry. The exhibition is expected to attract over 10,000 professional visitors.
The Advanced Ship Manufacturing Zone will highlight innovations in hull materials, ship design and construction, ship repair machinery and equipment, advanced process and equipment, electromechanical and electrical systems, intelligent manufacturing and equipment, lighting systems, turbine engineering and marine equipment, propulsion systems, environmental protection equipment, coating robots, shipbuilding supply chain, supply chain and so on.
The Academia and Research Zone will feature leading universities and research institutions, including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Harbin Engineering University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Shanghai Maritime University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Fujian Polytechnic University, and Jimei University, along with over ten research institutes, affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, and Aviation Industry Corporation of China, LTD. This zone will showcase the latest scientific innovations, and transformation achievements, as well as related industry-university-research cooperation projects.
This year’s expo will feature a Guest Country for the first time, with Norway invited to participate in this role. The Norway Guest Country Pavilion, covering 432 square meters, is organized by Innovation Norway, the Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai, and the Norwegian Business Association China. Fifteen Norwegian companies will showcase the most advanced and cutting-edge Nordic marine technologies and products.
As the Guest Province of the conference, Shandong Pavilion, covering 390 square meters, will showcase the “Bluewhale I” ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform, the “Haikui No. 1” cylindrical floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) facility, the “Shenhai-1” energy station, high-end passenger ferries, underwater robots, underwater cameras, luxury yachts, recreational fishing boats, and electrical cables. This exhibition highlights Shandong’s innovations, achievements, and unique strengths in the marine equipment industry, providing broad exposure to Shandong’s top-notch resources, well-known enterprise technologies and products in the marine equipment sector.
The highly anticipated Fujian Pavilion will feature four main exhibition zones: Electric Ship Industry Chain, Offshore Wind Power, Offshore Engineering Equipment, and Deep-Sea Aquaculture, covering 9,000 square meters—double the size of last year. With 52 participating companies, including Fortune 500 and SOEs like CATL, Dongfang Electric, China Three Gorges Corporation, and China Yangtze Shipping Group, the Fujian Pavilion comprehensively represents Fujian’s core sectors of shipbuilding, wind power, and yacht manufacturing. The Electric Ship Industry Chain Zone, led by CATL and Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group Corporation, will focus on the complete industrial chain of electric ships in Fujian. The Offshore Wind Power Zone, managed by the China Three Gorges Corporation, will bring together upstream and downstream companies in the offshore wind sector. The Deep-Sea Aquaculture Zone, with Lianjiang County as a representative, will showcase a full marine industry chain from breeding and aquaculture to processing, branding, sales, and dining. The Offshore Engineering Equipment Zone, carefully planned by Luoyuan County, will highlight the region’s advantages in transportation, port resources, terminal facilities, industrial base and supporting industries for offshore equipment.
The Outdoor Yacht Zone is located at the Citychamp Dartong Plaza and Citychamp Dartong Marina, covering 20,000 square meters. It features six sub-zones, including the on-water and on-land yacht exhibition areas, a standard exhibition area for the yacht industry, outdoor lifestyle and water sports equipment, luxury lifestyle exhibits, and a Surfing Lifestyle Street. During the expo, leading global yacht manufacturers, agents, upstream and downstream supply chain collaborators, equipment providers, and water sports service providers will gather to showcase the latest trends in the yacht industry, aiming to establish a world-class platform for industry exchange and exhibition.
