Fujian Provincial Marine Economic Industry Cooperation, Innovation and Development Conference Held

  Zhou Zuyi and Zhao Long attended the conference and witnessed major project signings.

  On November 15, the Fujian Provincial Marine Economic Industry Cooperation, Innovation and Development Conference, a key event of the World Maritime Equipment Conference 2024, was held in Fuzhou. Zhou Zuyi, Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial People’s Congress, and Zhao Long, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Governor of Fujian Province, attended the conference and witnessed the signing of major projects.

  It is reported that this conference facilitated the signing of 178 projects in Fujian Province, with a total investment exceeding 170 billion yuan. Emerging marine industries are showing robust momentum, enterprises are demonstrating substantial strength, and investment prospects continue to grow. Notably, 50 projects were finalized during the centralized signing ceremony, accounting for a total investment of 95 billion yuan. Key projects include the Hengshen Global R&D Center and Integrated New Materials Industrial Park, the CSSC Zhangpu Equipment Industrial Park, the Xiamen Marine Innovation Industrial Park (Phase II), the BeiDou-3 Smart Maritime Vessel Tracking Platform, the Fuzhou Xintou Marine Biotechnology Industrial Park, Feitong Technology Factory Expansion, the National-Level Large Yellow Croaker Breeding Base Expansion, and the Dejing International Offshore Wind Power Operations and Maintenance Base. Of the 50 centralized projects, 60% are in emerging marine industries, while approximately 25% fall within the marine engineering equipment and shipbuilding sectors.

  At the conference, the Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Beijing CSSC Economic and Technological Development Co., Ltd. respectively released key focus areas for investment in Fujian’s marine economic development and equipment sector, as well as a supply-demand matching platform for the marine industry.

  Provincial leaders Cui Yonghui, Guo Ningning, Wu Xielin, and Wang Yongli attended the event. Sheng Jigang, Deputy General Manager of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), along with representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Transport, attended the conference. Key officials from various prefecture-level cities, the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, provincial departments, and state-owned enterprises were also present.
