On November 15, the 2024 Second China Maritime Equipment Expo officially opened at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center. Attending the opening ceremony were Guo Ningning, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Committee; Guo Dacheng, President of the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry; Sheng Jigang, Deputy General Manager of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC); Wu Xiande, Mayor of Fuzhou; and Henning Kristoffersen, Commercial Counselor at the Norwegian Embassy in China.
The China Maritime Equipment Expo, hosted by China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), is themed “Green Intelligence, New Quality Future.” The Expo has attracted nearly 800 well-known maritime enterprises, universities, and research institutes from both domestic and international sectors. It showcases over 7,000 outstanding products, advanced technologies, and solutions in the maritime equipment sector.
The Expo covers an area of 100,000 square meters. The indoor exhibition is located in Halls 1-8 of the Straits International Conference and Exhibition Center, covering 80,000 square meters. It features 15 major exhibition zones, including the Fujian Exhibition Zone (Pavilion), China Shipbuilding Exhibition Zone (Pavilion), Dual-use Maritime Equipment Technology Exhibition Zone, Advanced Shipbuilding Manufacturing Exhibition Zone, and Smart Technology Equipment Exhibition Zone. The outdoor yacht exhibition area is located at the Citychamp Dartong Marina, offering an immersive yacht experience zone that integrates popular science, interaction, and hands-on experiences.
It is reported that during the Expo, over 30 professional and authoritative forums and a series of popular science experience activities will also be held. More than 200 professionals and executives from renowned enterprises in the maritime economy field, both domestic and international, will deliver speeches, discussing frontier technologies in the marine sector. This will serve as a shared platform for professionals to research industry hotspots and challenges.
