  This year marks the 30th anniversary of the strategic concept of “Fuzhou on the Sea”. In the past 30 years, Fuzhou has adhered to the essence of the “3820”strategic project thought, made great efforts to build a strong maritime city.

  Today, the blue coastline of about 2000km in Fuzhou has a strong rhythm of accelerating development, and the huge ship has sailed for the deep blue. The new district and new city have led the pace of high-quality development in Fuzhou, and the “marine economy” such as marine fishery, port industry and coastal tourism has flourished. The blue engine has bossted the blessed state all the way.

  Cross the strait

  The Fujian-Taiwan channel is getting wider

  On the morning of May 4, the passenger ship “Anqi No.6”left Mawei Langqi Wharf and returned that afternoon. On the morning of the same day, the passenger ship “Jishun No.10”left Fu’ao Pier in Mazu and returned in the afternoon... Since Langqi Pier, the passenger route of “mini three links”between Mawei and Mazu, it is more convenient for passengers to travel back and forth between the two places, and the “city life circle”in Fuzhou-Mazu has accelerated from an idea to a reality.

  “Up to now, themini three links passenger route between Mawei and Mazu has transported a total of 680000 passengers.” According to the person in charge of Mawei District, the mini three linkspassenger route between Mawei and Mazu is the first maritime passenger route between the two sides. In order to make cross-strait exchanges more convenient, Langqi Wharf covering an area of 216 mu was opened in 2019, and the Mawei-Mazu passenger route was moved from Mawei Qingzhou Wharf to Langqi Wharf.

  On April 9, this year, Fuzhou-Mazu added a golden channel for maritime freight-the direct route of Mawei-Mazufor maritime freight departed from Qingzhou Wharf, and the goods arrived in Mazu in three hours. In the future, they can be transported to Taiwan Province Island from Mazu, which greatly promoted the cross-border e-commerce industry cooperation between the two places. Langqi Wharf also strives to open cross-strait freight routes during the year, and Fuzhou-Mazu “city ife circle”will go further.

  During this CFET, Fuzhou released the first batch of 10 policies for Fuzhou-Mazu “city life circle”. As a front window to Taiwan, Mawei will continue to take the lead in building a demonstration zone for cross-strait integration and development. In addition to doing a good job in passenger transportation on the mini three linksroute between Mawei-Mazu and Langqi, it will also promote the upgrading of Langqi wharf to Taiwan and the Mawei-Mazuroute, fully support the deepening integration and development of Fuzhou and Mazu, create aFuzhou-Mazucity life circle, and build a first home with the most active cross-strait exchanges and harmonious feelings.

At the same time, good news kept coming: the first airport comprehensive insurance zone in Fujian province was successfully approved, the main concrete structure of Terminal 2 was successfully capped, and Songxia Port berthed a 200,000-ton ship for the first time ..

  Revitalize resources

  Bigger and stronger “blue engine”

  3998 Fujian-made cars went global, setting a historical record for the export volume of single-voyage cars in Jiangyin Port Area; After returning from fishing in the North Pacific Ocean with a load of more than 2000 tons, the “Fuyuan Fishing F86”successfully unloaded at Yuanhong Wharf... There are many sails, and the 408km coastline of Fuqing is even busier.

  As an important engine for the construction of Fuzhou on the Sea, Fuqing relies on five advantages: long coastline, wide harbor, wide hinterland, excellent policies and low cost, and accelerates the construction of a southeast shipping hub port that integrates with Fuzhou, connects with Taiwan Province, moves towards the whole country and connects with the international community, forging a solid blue engine for Fuzhou to build a modern international city.

  Port energy level and collection and distribution system construction are inseparable. How to further revitalize port resources? Fuqing attaches great importance to building a strategic channel extending in all directions and connecting land and sea, opening up expressways leading to the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, inland hinterland, Binhai New City and Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, expanding the modes of sea-rail combined transport, ship transfer and China-Europe trains, and building a railway logistics park with an area of over 2000 mu and a branch line of Jiangyin Railway with an area of over 20km. In 2023, 64,000 TEUs of sea-rail combined transport will be completed, an increase of 35.5%; China-Europe trains run 22 times, with a total freight volume ofRMB 420 million.

Towards the goal of building a world-class port, Fuqing set up a special class for port management, implemented the integrated reform of port construction, service and operation, explored the “one building dealing” mode integrating the park management committee, port, customs and quarantine, and improved the level of customs clearance facilitation.

  The characteristics of large ports, large passages and supporting facilities have provided a solid foundation for Fuqing to introduce large projects and develop large industries. At present, there are 24 enterprises with an output value of over RMB 3 billion, and 19 industrial projects with an investment of overRMB3 billion are being promoted, with a total investment of RMB 143.6 billion.
