Recently, the reporter came to the Dinghai Bay Marine Ranch in Lianjiang, and saw fishermen standing on rows and fishing for seafood. The grouper is transported to hotels and seafood markets in Fuzhou and other places by fresh water trucks.
The grouper is a major fishery species with Fujian characteristics. Because of its delicious flesh and high economic value, it is often used on banquet. Wang Weigang, head of the Water Technology Station of Lianjiang County Ocean and Fisheries Bureau, introduced that Lianjiang grouper has many varieties. Recently, the total catch is about 2 million, of which 1 million has reached the market standard.
In addition to grouper, more than 10 kinds of marine cultured fish are also on the market, and the total output is expected to reach more than 20000 tons.
