On October 10th, the total element drill of World Marine Equipment Conference 2023 was conducted at the Strait International Conference and Exhibition Centerand reception hotels in the surrounding area.
This drill was divided into 9 links: conference attending drill, guest entry drill, leader tour route drill, opening ceremony and main forum drill, thematic forum drill, press center operation drill, network security emergency drill, emergency response drill, and venue security drill. Almost all the links of the conference were covered. The staffs of each working team of the Organizing Committee, volunteers, journalists, security personnel, and other people participated in the drill. The on-site personnel of the drill, vehicles, equipment, and other organizations were organized in an orderly manner and operated smoothly. The expected goals were achieved.
According to introduction, the main purpose of this drill was to test the preparation of opening ceremony and main forum, thematic forum, guest service, security assurance, and other important work, as well as the effectiveness of the emergency plan, through the total element system; and further define responsibilities, streamline the process, fill in the gapsand make up for the deficiencies, streamline the process in the whole chain, fulfill duties, ensure the orderly connection of all links of conference preparation, raise the quality and service level of conference preparation, and lay a solid foundation for the smooth holding of the conference.
After the drill, the Organizing Committee held the evaluation summary meeting to evaluate the effectiveness of the total element drill and make a summary.
It was reported that multiple special drills of the conference were conducted before this total element drill, including fire emergency evacuation, elevator emergency rescue, power supply guarantee, and water supply guarantee of the venue. (Zeng Qingxian, journalist of Fuzhou Daily)
